Tips for Thermostats
1976-1993 Volvo 240 Series
O.E. Volvo thermostats must be installed with the small venting nipple oriented correctly. If incorrectly installed, an air pocket will form causing a reduction of cooling abilities. Beck/Arnley Worldparts' thermostats for most popular model Volvos are manufactured with a patented crimped design that ensures proper bleeding without regard to thermostat orientation. No problem.
Note: There are also FailSafe thermostat versions for this application.
