'92-'94 Mazda 929 - Repeated Dead Battery
If your 1992-94 Mazda 929 keeps coming back on the hook with a dead battery, look in the trunk before you replace a suspect alternator (Bosch p/n AL4214X). No, that's not where the alternator is located, but Mazda suggests that you look there because the trunk lights in these cars have been known to stay on while the car is not running. If this turns out to be the case, you will have to adjust the trunk lid light switch lever to ensure that the light goes off when the trunk is closed.
