Geo Storm or Isuzu Impulse - Retain Instrument Panel Lamp Connector

When replacing Delco CS-121 alternators on Geo Storm and Isuzu Impulse vehicles (AL4425X) it will be necessary to retain the instrument panel lamp connector from your original alternator, and re-install it on the replacement unit. (These plugs are not available from the OEM manufacturer.

On these vehicles the only way to determine whether or not the plug is defective is to have the alternator bench-tested to verify its performance. Should you find that your instrument panel lamp connector is bad, you "can use" the Nippondenso version in place of the AL4425X. The AL4431X has the panel lamp connector built into it, and the vehicle's wiring harness will plug directly into the AL4431X without addition connectors.
